a week of color

Sometimes I check on my blog
and get ready to post,
only to realize I have nothing
to post about.
No art to post,
no encouraging words,
no deep thoughts to ponder...

we've just been busy!
~ we've attended our lessons
read our library books
returned the library books (on time even)
done our studies
played with friends
sat in meetings
attended church services
visited with family
searched for Easter eggs
inhaled chocolate, yogurt and chewed gum after missing them during lent
walked the dogs
practiced our instruments
paid the bills
made it to the grocery ~

Nothing exciting, nothing thoughtful or creative,
and then I have to remember
not to compare my little blog to anyone else's.

but to let this little blog be what it is.
It is filled with family love~

sweet things ~

and gifts ~


It is what it is... and I kinda like that.

This year we had a tall Easter Bunny!

We gladly welcomed the first day of spring today and found some inspiration from soule mama's blog! I think it was just what we needed, that nudge to recognize that the winter blahs are nearly through.. a natural excitement grows this time of year. Sure the boy wanted to draw pictures of the flowers being attacked by some big black ooze, ( check out the busy table picture) but he humored his momma also. He painted a nice set of red flowers in some grass with sunshine...

I have finally moved the ipod dock into the kitchen and today was a great morning for turning it up and dancing to Dan Zanes' "All Around the Kitchen" as the sunlight poured in the window. My goddaughter joined us today.. check out that great smile!

Here is our busy, full table~
paints, watercolor pencils, markers,
brushes, cups of water and hot chocolate,
baby snacks and a bottle... I mean really
~ so much fun!!

i'm thrilled that i'll have

I had not, until I received this card from
a new friend.
I loved it the instant I opened it ~ it is so me!
Then I read on to find out this is a prayer practice.

still a wee bit sick this week (only one with a fever), but we took time to create with beeswax, delve into creation vs. evolution theories, and catch some sun on the back steps.
